- [GENERAL] More machine presets added to the Machine Setup screen.
- [CAM] Added highlighting for the beginning/end of open contours (green for beginning, red for end) to be able to easily highlight potential file issues.
- [BUG FIXES] Fixed an issue that prevented the import of certain open contours and lines from the CAD module.
IMPORTANT: Please update both the SOFTWARE and the PROFILE within OptimumCNC. We have also uploaded “VIDEO #29 – Cut Start Marking” to your TUTORIAL VIDEO FOLDER in your OWNERS DOCUMENTS demonstrating the new features. We have updated optimumcnc.com Change Log and added Video #29. We have updated Optimum Youtube Channel with Video #29.
V2.0.2374 [ 08/19/24 ]
- [GENERAL] Inches/mm toggle added to the Machine Setup tab to quickly switch between imperial and metric systems
- [CAM MODULE] Layers functionality expanded – ability to select custom kerf (cut width correction) values per layer. Press the REFRESH button at the bottom of the Layers tab to apply the new correction values
- [CAM MODULE] Layers settings can now be assigned to different layers in the DXF file at the file import stage (within the Import DXF tab)
- [CAM MODULE] Min Contour and Merge value customization added to Project Settings tab. See section 4.2.5.5 of the OptimumCNC User Manual for more information
- [CAD MODULE] Ability to Undo actions added – press CTRL+Z to UNDO the latest action
- [CAD MODULE] Autosave added – the system will now automatically take a snapshot of the latest CAD module drawing every 15/60 seconds (depending on whether the drawing is being actively changed or not), storing the drawing should the program be restarted
- [CAD MODULE] Lengthen Arc/Line and Offset Arc/Line buttons added to the Tool: Select tab
- [CAD MODULE] Flex grid setting now allows to set a custom grid size
- [CAD MODULE] “New” button added to the top ribbon to quickly start a new CAD module drawing
- [BUG FIXES] Fixed an issue where the Machine Setup window would not react when using the Close Window button
IMPORTANT: You will be updating the SOFTWARE button and PROFILE button.
“NEW OPTIMUM MANUAL V49” HAS BEEN RELEASED TO YOUR OWNERS DOCUMENTS LINK IN YOUR MANUALS FOLDER.

See video #28 in Customer Links folder (Select Start Point.mp4) for more information.
- [GENERAL] Added a visual grid to the control program visualization window
- [CAM MODULE] Updated the Rotation icons in the nesting tab to make them more intuitive
- [CAM MODULE] Using the DELETE keyboard button while a contour is selected will now remove it from the project, similar to the on-screen Delete button
- [CAM MODULE] Option to set distance between imported parts (copied or added to the nest) has been moved from Project Settings to the Nesting tab, under Distance.
- [BUG FIXES] CAM Module – fixed a nesting issue that would sometimes result in an overlap for small parts/contours after nesting.
- [GENERAL] Modified the profile update sequence to match the Linux and Windows update process
- [PROFILE UPDATE] “Edit G-Code” button has been added to the G-code panel. This will open an external text editor that the user can modify the current control program in. Do not forget to save the file in the editor and reload it in the OptimumCNC software once it has been modified.
